Our vision has always been to create a place where guests can enjoy delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. Today, we're proud to be recognized as one of the best places for Thai food in Detroit, Michigan.

When we think of food that is fresh and healthy, we naturally think of green leaves - a symbol of freshness, balance, and life. Inspired by this idea, we wanted a name that was both meaningful and easy to remember. That inspiration became Bai Mai Thai.

In Thai, “Bai Mai” means “leaves,” reflecting our commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients. At the same time, it can also be playfully interpreted as “Buy My Thai.”This combination of meaning and wordplay perfectly represents who we are - rooted in tradition, yet creative and inviting.

Nice little Thai place tucked away in a shopping center. They have a large menu and it seems like every dish can be customized to your tastes. Highly recommend the pad thai with tamarind sauce, great flavors!

My bf and I have been here multiple times and each time, the food was always so flavorful and fresh. The waitress there is literally the sweetest and very knowledgeable about the menu. This is definitely one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to and I would highly recommend coming here.
